Hi, I am Junhao (Frank) Ran, a Master’s student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice University. I previously earned my bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.

I work with Dr. Hanyu Zhu and Dr. Xia “Ben” Hu at Rice University. My research interests include efficient machine learning systems, high performance computing, as well as AI for healthcare and science.

May 01, 2024 Join the Emerging Quantum & Ultrafast mAterial Laboratory (EQUAL) at Rice University as a full-time Research Assistant for a summer internship. I will be working on a project focused on designing a CUDA program for high-performance scientific computing tasks under the supervision of Dr. Hanyu Zhu.
